Stroke analysis

Every catch, every kick.

A pose model follows your body through the water frame by frame and turns it into the numbers coaches actually use.

  • Stroke rate, and distance per stroke on each length
  • Left/right symmetry and body roll
  • Kick tempo and body position
  • Breaths per minute and strokes per breath

$7per swim

Race analysis

The whole race, split by split.

Zoom out from the stroke to the swim. Where the race was won, where it slipped, and exactly which length gave it up.

  • Split per length with a pace curve
  • Flip-turn time, from tuck to surfacing
  • Fade analysis — first half vs second half
  • Stroke count drift as you tire

$7per swim

Broadcast announcer

Your swim, announced.

The fun one. A broadcast announcer calls your swim like a championship final — voiced over your own footage, ready to post.

  • Play-by-play timed to your splits when you add Race
  • Reads the real numbers, never invented
  • Mixed into a broadcast cut of your own footage
  • Built to be shared, not studied

Broadcast announcer

Nobody shares a spreadsheet

The numbers are for the coach. The call is for everyone else — a broadcast announcer narrating your swim over your own footage, timed to your real splits. It is the part that gets sent to grandparents.

And it only ever says what the film actually shows. Every number the announcer reads is one we measured.

On the call
“…and Lane 4 turns at 26.8, her quickest length of the swim. Eighteen strokes on that one — the same count she opened with — and she is still building. Tempo climbing on the back half and nothing is fading…”

How it works

Pool deck to inbox

Four steps, and one of them is just closing the tab.

  1. Film it from the deck

A phone at the water line, tracking alongside the swimmer. No rig, no sensors, no special camera.

  2. Pick your reads

Drag the clip in, say which lane you were in, and choose what you want to know. We work out the stroke ourselves. One read or all three — you only pay for what you pick.

  3. We read every frame

Pose tracking over the whole clip, then the metrics, then the call. No sampling, because sampling is where swim analysis starts lying to you.

  4. Check your inbox

A link lands in your email in about twenty minutes. Open it anywhere, send it to a coach, a grandparent, or straight to your story.

You never have to sit and watch a progress bar. Analysis takes about twenty minutes because we read every single frame. Close the tab — the email is the finish line.

No risk

You’re only charged
if we produce a read

Filming a swim on a phone is a guess, and we would rather carry that risk than ask you to. There are two gates between your upload and your $7, and you have to get past both of them before any money moves.

  1. 01 · Before you pay

A film we can't use never reaches a payment screen

Every upload is opened, measured and pre-checked within seconds of landing — before we offer you anything. Too long, too far away, nobody we can track? We say so, tell you which of those it was, and there is no button to press. Your clip stays in your library; you can still watch it, share it and comment on it.

  2. 02 · After you pay

Checkout holds the $7. We only take it once there's a read

Completing checkout places a hold on your card rather than charging it. We complete the charge when there is a finished analysis to hand you. If the pipeline can't finish — usually because the swimmer can't be tracked well enough for the numbers to be worth trusting — the hold is released and we email you to say so.

Where that stops: if we do produce a read, we charge for it — including one where the camera angle forced us to mark some metrics unavailable. That is still a finished analysis with real numbers in it, and it comes with the reasons attached. What we will never do is bill you for nothing.

Filming it

One parent, one phone, anywhere on the deck

Hold your phone sideways, keep your swimmer in the frame, and follow them to the wall. That is the whole technique. No rig, no sensors, no second person, and no angle you have to get right first — reading the film is our job, not yours.

Easiest

From where you're already standing

Phone sideways, held down near the water line, walking along the deck with your swimmer. No crouching, no tripod, no perfect spot — and above water this is the angle the tracker reads most cleanly.

Richest read

Through an underwater window

If your pool has a window, or your phone lives in a waterproof case, use it. Nothing splashing between the lens and the swimmer means every keypoint stays visible — and almost nothing comes back unmeasured.

Still works

From up in the stands

Sitting in the bleachers with everyone else? Send that. Filming down at the lane hides the far arm, so a few left-versus-right numbers come back marked unmeasured, with the reason. Everything the camera did see still gets coached.

You don’t have to trim anything. Filmed the whole heat, warm-up and all? Upload it as it came off the phone — we find the length your swimmer swam and read that. Nothing to crop, nothing to mark, no second app.

What comes back

Coaching, not a report card

Not a wall of numbers for you to interpret. A coach who has read every frame tells your swimmer what is working, then one or two things to take to practice — in words an eleven-year-old can act on.

The win, first

“Your stroke count held at 18 on every full length — you didn't shorten up as you tired, and that's the best thing in this swim.”

One thing for tomorrow

“Your right arm is recovering 11° straighter than your left — it swings wide over the water instead of lifting high. Keep that elbow up. Try six lengths of single-arm right at practice.”

And what we couldn't see

“Body roll wasn't measurable here: the camera was above the water line, so your far shoulder stayed hidden. Film from deck height next time and I'll have it for you.”

An example of the read, not a script — every number the coach says is one we measured off your footage, and anything the camera couldn’t show comes back saying so.

Every stroke

Measured for what it is

We read the stroke off your footage — the kick-to-arm rhythm gives it away — then analyze it on its own terms: freestyle symmetry, breaststroke glide, an underwater dolphin kick off the wall.

  • FreestyleFront crawl — alternating arms, flutter kick.
  • BackstrokeOn your back — alternating arms, flutter kick.
  • BreaststrokeSimultaneous arm pull with a whip kick and glide.
  • ButterflyBoth arms recover together over a dolphin kick.
  • UnderwaterDolphin-kick streamline off a wall — best tracking of all.

Questions

Before you dive in

What do I actually get for $7?
Each read is its own $7 job — Stroke, Race, or the Broadcast announcer. Pick the one you want, or mix and match: two is $14, all three is $21. Whatever you choose comes back as an annotated film with the skeleton and the metrics burned in, plus a link you can share with anyone, forever. No subscription.
How long does it take?
About twenty minutes for a 75-second clip. Pose tracking is genuinely heavy compute — we run every frame rather than sampling, because sampling is where swim analysis starts lying to you. We email you the moment it's ready, so close the tab.
What if my footage isn't great?
Two different answers, and both are good news. If the film is unusable — too long, too far away, nobody trackable in it — we work that out before you ever reach a payment screen, and tell you why. If it is usable but awkward, we analyze it and tell you the truth: any number the camera angle made untrustworthy comes back marked unavailable, with the reason, rather than as a confident number we made up.
What happens if I pay and the analysis fails?
Nothing leaves your account. Checkout places a hold on the $7 rather than taking it, and we only complete the charge once there is a finished read to hand you. If the pipeline can't finish — it happens, usually when the swimmer can't be tracked well enough for the numbers to be worth trusting — the hold is released and we email you to say so. You are never asked for a refund, because we never took the money.
Do I need a special camera or sensors?
No. A phone on the pool deck is the whole setup. If you can film it, we can read it.
